Thanks to our emerging leaders, says Novice B coach

A message from Novice B coach Ryan Robitaille:

One of my favorite things about the game of hockey is its ability to bring people together. Teammates, coaches, families, friends, neighbors and even arena staff and local businesses come together for the love of this game. We see examples of this across all levels of the sport – from millions of fans cheering for their respective teams worldwide to the local families that come and go from our arenas and rinks right here in St. Catharines.

Hockey has the power to connect people.

This season the girls on our Brock Jr. Badgers Novice B Rep team were lucky enough to experience some special connections from right within our association. We had a fantastic group of senior players, from the Pee Wee, Bantam and Midget teams, volunteer their time as leaders and mentors. They assisted in practices, built relationships and grew their own coaching skills and self-confidence along the way — all while having a positive impact on our team, as a whole.

I know our Novice B girls' played better and worked harder because of the efforts of these passionate young women. Thank you to Erika Bowen, Amy Little, Nadine Kryzanowski, Meghan Freel, Kayla Gates, Morgan Hudson, for sharing your time, knowledge and love of the game with the next generation of players in the Brock Jr. Badgers Association.

Your efforts have been greatly appreciated!! Go Badgers!!
