The Ontario Women's
Hockey Association has officially sanctioned the
merger of the St. Catharines CYO Chaos Rep Hockey
Association and the St. Catharines CYO Girls House
League to form the St. Catharines Female Hockey
Association (SCFHA). The SCFHA is the only
all-female hockey association in St. Catharines and
offers both a house league and rep (travel) program
for girls aged 4 to 21 years of age.
HOUSE LEAGUE PROGRAM
The league
objective is to be consistent with the two year age group within
all divisions. Players range in age from 7 to 20, playing in the following divisions:
NOVICE (7-8)
ATOM (9-10)
PEEWEE (11-12)
BANTAM (13-14)
MIDGET (15-17)
INTERMEDIATE (18-20)
FUNDAMENTAL PROGRAM
The SCFHA
Fundamental Program is designed for girls aged 4-5-6. This
program prepares the player for entering the SCFHA House League.
The program consists of having fun, while teaching the basics of
hockey.
CHAOS
REP HOCKEY PROGRAM
The
SCFHA offers a rep (travel) program of competitive
teams in the Atom to Intermediate age groups that
compete in the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League.
Tryouts take place in the Spring and teams are on
the ice by late August preparing for the upcoming
